Research Officer, VREF

Vanessa is a gender specialist, urban planner, and an architect specializing in urban social sustainability. She has extensive experience coordinating complex multi-stakeholder collaboration projects involving international organizations, bridging stakeholders, and facilitating co-creation processes. Since 2013, she has been working as a consultant within social and environmental urban sustainability combining practice, education, innovation, and research fields. Currently, she is working as a project manager at Living Cities AB, a Swedish innovation consultancy and think tank, and as a research officer at Volvo Research and Educational Foundations (VREF). She has been an advisor for Latin American and European municipalities on equity, inclusion, and climate change adaptation and a speaker on inclusive urban development and stakeholders’ engagement at international conferences and other forums.
